Can I visit a completed project before hiring you?
In some cases, yes. A number of our customers are happy for prospective clients to see the finished work, particularly on larger jobs. It depends entirely on the homeowner, so ask and we’ll see who is willing.
How long does a bathroom or kitchen take?
A bathroom renovation usually runs two to three weeks, and a kitchen fit around three to six depending on whether walls are coming out. Every project page gives the actual duration for that job rather than an estimate.
Can we use the room while the work is going on?
On a kitchen, yes, we’ll usually leave you a working sink and a temporary run for as long as possible, and agree in advance the few days where that isn’t practical. On a bathroom, it depends on whether it’s the only one in the house. If it is, the programme is planned to keep the time without it as short as possible.
Do you supply the units and suite, or do we?
Either. Some customers prefer to choose and order everything themselves, others would rather we handled the supply. We’ll tell you honestly where trade pricing saves you money and where it doesn’t.
How far from Faversham will you travel?
Most work is within roughly twenty miles, covering Swale and the Canterbury district. Larger projects further afield are considered case by case, so it’s worth asking.
Do you only take on bathrooms and kitchens?
No, LH Building and Maintenance also handles extensions, renovations, groundworks and electrical work. Bathrooms and kitchens are simply the projects written up so far. Ask for examples of anything else and we’ll send them over.
