This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies used when you visit lhbandm.co.uk. It should be read with our privacy policy, which covers the personal information you send us.
What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your device. It can remember a choice, keep a page secure, or recognise you on a later visit. Similar technologies include local storage in your browser and pixels that record that a page loaded.
Cookies set by us are called first-party cookies. Cookies set by another company, such as Google, while their content loads on our pages are called third-party cookies.
Cookies we set ourselves
LH Building and Maintenance does not set advertising cookies, analytics cookies, or cookies that remember you between visits. There is no account login on this site, and we do not use a cookie to record whether you have accepted a banner.
The hosting company may keep a short server log of the address of each page request, the time, and the browser that made it. That log is used to keep the site online and to investigate faults. It is not used to advertise to you.
Cookies set by other services
Some pages load content from other companies. Those companies can set their own cookies when the content loads. We do not control those cookies.
- Google Fonts. The typeface is loaded from Google. Google may receive your IP address and store a cookie connected with that request. Google’s description is in their privacy policy.
- Google Maps. The contact and about pages embed a map. Loading that map can set Google cookies, including cookies used to remember preferences and to protect the service. The map does not load until you open one of those pages.
- Formspree. The quote form is sent to Formspree so it can be emailed to us. Submitting the form can set a cookie on Formspree’s domain. Browsing the rest of the site does not send the form.
Links to Facebook and Instagram do not place those companies’ cookies while you stay on our site. Cookies from Facebook or Instagram are only set if you follow the link and visit them.
How to control cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser. Blocking every cookie can stop the map from displaying and can affect the quote form. The site’s own pages will still open.
You can also block third-party cookies only, which stops Google and Formspree storing cookies while leaving ordinary browsing unchanged. Your browser’s help pages explain how.
Changes to this policy
If we add analytics, advertising, or any other cookie of our own, we will update this page before that cookie is used, and we will ask for consent where the law requires it. The date at the top of the page will change when we do.
Questions about cookies can be sent to [email protected] or by post to 3 Roebuck Rd, Faversham ME13 7PE.
