LH Building and Maintenance was founded by Lee Harrison, a tradesman with over two decades of hands-on building experience. From commercial fit-outs across the UK and Europe to kitchens, bathrooms and building projects right here in Faversham.
From the Tools Up — The LH Building & Maintenance Story
LH Building and Maintenance was founded by a tradesman who has spent his entire working life in the building industry — starting from the bottom and working his way up through every level of the trade.
Leaving school at 16, he studied a three-year City & Guilds qualification in Electrical Installation before moving into fence erecting and groundworks, building a solid practical foundation in construction.
He then joined JSP, managing commercial fit-outs for major brands including KFC, Pret a Manger and Starbucks — working across the UK and Europe on every aspect of the build, from tiling and carpentry to plumbing and decorating, eventually progressing into site management.
When Covid hit, he made the decision to step back from large-scale commercial work and start something closer to home. LH Building and Maintenance was founded in Faversham in 2020.
Bringing commercial-grade experience to local homeowners across Kent, with the personal touch and attention to detail that every job deserves.

City & Guilds — Electrical Installation
Left school at 16 and went straight to college to complete a rigorous three-year City & Guilds qualification in Electrical Installation — building a strong technical foundation across all aspects of electrical work and construction.
Fence Erecting & Groundworks
Moved into fence erecting and groundworks after college, developing hands-on practical construction skills and a solid understanding of how building projects are structured from the very beginning.
JSP — UK & European Projects
Joined JSP, managing commercial fit-out projects for multinational brands including KFC, EAT, Pret a Manger and Starbucks. Involved in every aspect of the build — tiling, decorating, landscaping, plumbing and carpentry — across sites throughout the UK and Europe.
Project & Site Management
Progressed into site management on a wide range of commercial projects, overseeing every stage of complex builds from initial planning through to completion. Developed deep expertise in project management, trade coordination and quality control.
LH Building & Maintenance Founded
After Covid, made the decision to start LH Building and Maintenance in Faversham — bringing commercial-grade building experience closer to home. Built up a strong local reputation across Faversham and Kent over five years of consistent, quality work.
