Every bathroom below was stripped out, rebuilt and finished by our own team. Take a look at what each job involved, including what we found once the old suite came out, before you decide who fits yours.
A full strip out back to the joists, with a doorway moved, new pipework throughout and a freestanding bath set against blue scallop feature tiling.
Taken back to the bare bones and the layout redesigned from scratch, finished in deep green tiling with brushed gold fittings and a roll top bath.
Old oak flooring and rotten boards lifted and replaced, then the whole room retiled in patterned charcoal and white metro with a new basin unit in place of the radiator.
Every kitchen below involved more than swapping the units. Take a look at what each job actually needed behind the doors, from walls coming out to circuits being run, before you decide who fits yours.
The old kitchen stripped out and replaced from scratch, with first and second fix plumbing and electrics, integrated appliances throughout and a metro tile splashback.
Wall and window opened up to connect the new space, then floor tiling, a shaker kitchen with oiled oak worktops and a full second fix on the shower room.
A freshly skimmed kitchen fully decorated throughout, then tiled in white metro with a trimmed finish around the worktops and cooker hood once the quartz was in.
Not every job is a full renovation. These are the repairs, alterations and smaller works that keep a property right, carried out to the same standard as the bigger projects.
New oak internal doors throughout, bespoke boxing to hide radiator pipework, new skirting and dado rail, and a solid oak worktop in the utility room.
A made to measure timber gate with a keyless digital lock, plus feather edge fencing built up off the existing wall to add privacy at the front of the property.
Damaged boarding on the underside of a canopy overboarded with white PVC soffit, chosen as the safest way to deal with a substrate confirmed to contain asbestos.
A shower room conversion and a full kitchen rebuild are very different jobs, but the way they’re run doesn’t change.
Lee manages every trade on site himself, so you're never chasing a plumber, an electrician and a tiler for three different answers.
A written quote before work starts, with the scope set out clearly. Extras get agreed before they're carried out, not after.
Lee holds a City & Guilds electrical qualification, so new circuits, spurs and lighting in bathrooms and kitchens are handled in-house rather than subbed out.
Waste cleared, floors and stairs protected during the build, and a proper walk-round before the final invoice.

In some cases, yes. A number of our customers are happy for prospective clients to see the finished work, particularly on larger jobs. It depends entirely on the homeowner, so ask and we’ll see who is willing.
A bathroom renovation usually runs two to three weeks, and a kitchen fit around three to six depending on whether walls are coming out. Every project page gives the actual duration for that job rather than an estimate.
On a kitchen, yes, we’ll usually leave you a working sink and a temporary run for as long as possible, and agree in advance the few days where that isn’t practical. On a bathroom, it depends on whether it’s the only one in the house. If it is, the programme is planned to keep the time without it as short as possible.
Most work is within roughly twenty miles, covering Swale and the Canterbury district. Larger projects further afield are considered case by case, so it’s worth asking.
No, LH Building and Maintenance also handles extensions, renovations, groundworks and electrical work. Bathrooms and kitchens are simply the projects written up so far. Ask for examples of anything else and we’ll send them over.
Tell us what you’re planning and we’ll give you a straight answer on how it’s best approached, what it’s likely to cost and when we could start.
